Go across the street and see wild sea lions lounging on the docks! Less than a mile from the condo.

Rogue Brewery, Newport
(under bridge); cross bridge on 101 and take the 1st exit after you cross over. The Brewery is next to the bridge.
They have a little restaurant, tasting room and bar. They have a wonderful selection of beer, ale and spirits made from their own farms and local, organically grown produce.

On holiday weekends they have GREAT SALES.

Walks, Hikes, Explorations

BeachSam Moore Parkway Trail is a short hike through a forested canyon that leaves from 656 NW High Street in
Nye Beach.

The Estuary Trail is a short hike along Yaquina Bay leaving from Hatfield Marine Science Center Parking lot

The Big Creek Trail follows upstream along the creek from the Agate Beach State Park wayside

The Mike Miller Trail
is a one mile loop in South Beach. This is interesting but a bit challenging. Turn left off Hwy 101 going south on SE 50th Street and proceed about ¼ mile to the trailhead.

The South Jetty Trail is a nice, paved trail leading from the day use area at South Beach State Park to the South Jetty.

Numerous trail walks in a wilderness setting are available in the Cape Perpetua area south of Yachats.

Some good access points for beach walks include Nye Beach and Agate Beach in Newport, South Beach State Park in South Beach, and Lost Creek and Ona Beach State Parks south of Newport.

Mo’s & Mo’s Annex: Classic seafood diners on the Newport bayfront
Portdock One, 325 SW Bay Blvd. Newport. Good food and nice views overlooking the sea lion dock. 3/4 mile from the condo.

Sharks: Dinner, best Cioppino on the west coast (says Sunset Magazine, we believe it)

Newport Café: best fish and chips.

Factory Outlet Stores: Lincoln City, up Hwy 101. Lots of stores and great deals! If you are a AAA member, go to the office there, and get a coupon
booklet for additional savings.

Glass Floats: Pyromania, S.E. Ferry Slip, (888-743-4116)
sells glass floats, and will also make to order. Beautiful hand-blown, molded glass pieces as well.

Go to the store at the Newport Aquarium Shops, or right on
Bay Blvd. if you are walking in downtown Newport near condo.

Lighthouses:
Yaquina Head..watch for signs in Newport, heading north of the
Bridge on US 101. (14 min). Great bookstore too.

close to Sea Lion Caves!
